Subject: Pension Adalat to be held on 23.08.2019. -reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare DO No.I / 12/2019-P&PW(G) dated 28.06.2019, OM No. 1/12/2019-P&PW(E) dated 05.07.2019 and this Ministry's OM of even no. dated 23.07.2019 on the above mentioned subject and to say that this Ministry had widely circulated the holding of Pension Adalat on 23.08.2019 for quick redressal of the grievances of pensioners within the framework of extant policy guidelines.

2. As regards the pensioners of the Core Secretariat of this Ministry is concerned, no case has been acknowledged for discussion in Pension Adalat on 23.08.2019 till date. All other cases have been transferred to their respective Ministries/ Divisions/ Organisations for appropriate action.

3. At present, this Ministry has received no request representation of the pensioners for redressal. As such, it is not feasible for this Ministry to hold Pension Adalat on 23.08.2019.

Office of Principal CCA, Delhi Region Holds PENSION ADALAT on 28.06.2019 (Friday) At 11.00 A.M

Pension Adalat will be held on 28-06-2019 (Friday) at 11:00 AM at the O/o Pr, CCA, DoT Building, Prasad Nagar, New Delhi- 110005. Telecom Pensioners/ Family Pensioners whose ppos/ Fppo have been issued by Ao (Pension), Delhi Region or who are drawing pension from pension Disbursing Authorities (Banks/ Post etc.) in Delhi Region are requested to forward their pension related grievance, if any to AO (Pension) O/o Pr. CCA, DoT Building, Near Fire Station, prasad Nagar, New Delhi in two copies containing all relevant details viz- name & designation of the pensioner/ Family pensioner, date of retirement/ death Name & address of the unit office where last served, PPO/ FPPO Number, Name and address of pension disbursing authority (Bank/ Post), current corresponding address and contact number etc, along-with full details of their grievance.

Note:-
  1. If you are a Telecom pensioner/ Telecom Family Pensioner of above mentioned category and have any kind of pension / family pension related grievance, please send your representation in two copies to above mentioned officer latest by 20.06.2019.
  2. Cases involving purely legal points eg. Succession etc. and the grievance involving policy matter cannot be taken up in the Adalat.

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh attended the second 'Pension Adalat' here today. The Pension Adalat was organized by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare. The objective of the Pension Adalat was to provide on-the-spot resolution of unresolved grievances and also to reduce the delays in the settlement of legitimate dues of the pensioners

Addressing the Pension Adalat, MoS, Shri Jitendra Singh congratulated the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare for successfully conducting the second 'pension Adalat' where out of 31 grievance cases 29 were resolved within few hours of hearing. He said that technology can play a vital role in facilitating the pensioners in disposing off their cases and for speedy redressal system for them.

He added that earlier Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare is now a days in the news for all good reasons as it has done a lot good to the old pensioners. It has brought smile to the pensioners faces by resolving their cases quickly and amicably.

Appreciating the Centre Government's initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi for older generation in the field of pension and health, he said , it has brought changes in society where old people feel neglected. He also suggested for starting a helpline by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare for the pensioners in resolving their problems.

In this Pension Adalat 34 pension grievances cases were listed and the various Stakeholders from Ministries, Departments, Banks, and CPAO have been called upon to redress the issue on spot. The issue includes revision of Family Pension, Commutation of Pension, final settlement of GPF, Fixed Medical Allowance etc.

Dr Jitendra Singh to inaugurate first 'Pension Adalat' tomorrow

Pensioners for outstanding contribution towards 'Anubhav' to be awarded

Mobile App to avail the services of Pensioners' Portal also to be launched

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the first 'Pension Adalat' here tomorrow. He will also award the Pensioners for their outstanding contribution towards 'Anubhav' - a platform for retiring employees for sharing their experience of working with Government. Moving ahead from e-governance to m-governance, a Mobile App has been created to avail the services of Pensioners' Portal which will also be launched by Dr Jitendra Singh tomorrow. As a measure of welfare to the pensioners of Government of India, a workshop on Pre-Retirement Counseling (PRC) of 300 retiring Central Government employees is also scheduled to be held. The event is being organized by Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

The objective of this workshop is to create awareness about the post-retirement entitlements as well as an advance planning for life after retirement. There will be four interactive sessions which will cover inter-alia, the road map to retirement, medical facilities for pensioners, re-engagement of retired people for voluntary social activities under 'Sankalp'. There will be another session on Income Tax and other benefits for senior citizens as well as investment and financial planning for retired people and the Importance of writing a Will.
The Pension Department in this programme will launch the first of a series of Pension Adalats which is being convened with the objective of bringing on a common table the aggrieved pensioner, the concerned department, the bank or CGHS representative, wherever relevant, so that such cases can be settled across the table within the framework of extant rules.

The Mobile App to be launched tomorrow will be extending all the services meant for the pensioner, which are currently available on the Pensioners' Portal of the department, to the mobile handset. With this App, a superannuating Central Government official will be able to monitor the progress of his pension settlement, and retired officials will be able to self-assess their pension through the pension calculator and will also be able to register their grievances, if any, and get updates on orders issued by the Department.

The ANUBHAV AWARDS 2017 will be presented to 17 pensioners for their contribution towards creating institutional memory for the departments. Anubhav scheme had been instituted on the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to encourage retiring/retired employees to submit their experiences while working in the government with the objective to create an institutional wealth for the government for future governance as well as to enthuse and inspire the future generations of government officials in their respective assignments.

Defence Pension Adalat on 7th and 8th April 2016 – PCDA

Notice

A Defence Pension Adalat, 139th in the series of Adalats held by the Defence Accounts Department, is being held at Pune from 7th – 8th April, 2016, followed by a mobile pension camp at Satara on 9th April, 2016. The Defence Pension Adalat at Pune – Satara is being organized by the PCDA (P) Allahabad.

Dear Brother,

The following issues be considered for discussion in the meeting to be held with the Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare:-

(i) Issuance of revised PPOs:-
Representations are received that the revised PPOs have not been issued to the Pensioners in Railways and other departments. It would therefore be necessary to obtain status report from each ministry and fix target date for completion of the issuance of revised PPOs to all pensioners.

(ii) Supply of complete copy of settlement file to the Pensioners at the time of retirement
– Instructions to Ministries may be issued.

(iii) Pension Adalats are not conducted regularly as per laid down policy. Action needs to be taken to see that pension Adalats are held regularly.
